SURA MEEN / SHARK FISH PUTTU
Fish puttu is very delicious traditional recipe of south india and has an awesome flavour,. This recipe is very easy to prepare and serves as a good side dish. It is less spicy , aromatic and very delicious. so try this yummy shark puttu recipe and enjoy tasting this recipe.
Ingredients:
- Paal Sura/White Shark Fish - 250g
- Onion Chopped - 3-4 Medium sized
- Green chillies - 4
- Ginger - 1 inch (Chopped)
- Garlic - 8 to 10 cloves
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Curry Leaves - few
- coriandar Leaves - few
- Salt - As needed.
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp.
- Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Cook the shark in a vessel with turmeric powder and poured with enough water. Cook until water boils well for 10 mins.
- After that remove fish from the hot water and slightly squeeze out the excess water. Mince the fish added with turmeric powder, chilly powder and keep aside.
- Heat oil in pan, add the mustard seeds, urad dal , ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves and suate it for 2min.
- Then, add the minced shark fish, salt and suate it for another 5 to 7 min.remove from the flame.
- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot as side dish.
