SWEET MAIDA BISCUITS


                      Maida Biscuits / Diamond Biscuits is a very popular biscuit in tamilnadu. This sweet biscuits will be available in every sweet shops. It is an tea time snack for kids and very eas to prepare this biscuits in home without using oven. It will be very tasty and crunchy cookies for your melting mouth.

Ingredients:
  • Maida - 3 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Butter - 50 grams
  • Baking soda/Cooking soda - 2 pinch
  • Oil - Deep Frying
Method:
  • Sieve the maida flour and keep aside.
  • In a wide bowl , add powdered sugar, baking soda , melted butter and mix well.
  • Atlast add maida, sprinkle some water and kneed into a stiff but smooth dough.(if u add more water then it will be sticky can't roll it like chapathi. because sugar powder will be melting if u add more water).
  • Dough should be very stiff but have to kneed it evenly. Rest the dough for 30mins.
  • After that divide the dough into small balls. Then roll it like as you do for chapathi.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or knife , Cut the dough into diamond or square shapes. Seperate the each pieces carefully.
  • Heat oil and deep fry the biscuts in low flame until, it changes golden brown color.

  • Allow it to cool , then store it in an air-tight container.
  • Serve this biscuits for your kids as evening snack.

Vanjaram meen varuval / King Fish Fry


                     This Fish has just one thick bone in the center, making it easy for kids to eat. King fish fry is an quick & easy recipe. I love this fish fry a lot. It is very very yummy and delicious recipe.This is my favourite fish i used to eat often.

Ingredients:
  • King fish - 6 to 8 pieces
  • Red Chilli Powder - 3 tsp
  • Tumeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Corn flour Powder - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste or juice - 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - needed
  • Oil - for deep frying

Method:
  • Clean the fish and wash it with cold water and keep aside.
  • In a wide bowl, add all the above ingredients and sprinkle some water in masala powder to make it to an paste consistency.
  • Now Apply the masala paste little by little in fish on both the sides and keep aside for min 30 - 45 min.
  • Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the fish , until the fish turns golden brown in color. deep fry evenly on both the sides.
  • Serve hot ,yummy, crispy fish fry with lemon or rice.




Dry spicy Soya chunks

Dry Soya chunks



                            Soya chunks are a good alternative to meat for vegeterians. They are low calorie, rich in vitamin B and contain soya protein. It will be very tasty and crispy soya chunks. Whenever, I feel to eat meat in vegeterian days, that time i use to prepare soya chunks for my melting mouth to alternate the taste by eating soya chunks. I like dry and crispy soya chunks instead of gravy recipe. This will be much delicious than gravy. Try this recipe taste it and serve for your family.

Ingredients:
  • Soya chunks - 1 cup
  • Curd - 1/4 cup
  • Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Gara masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Black Pepper - 1 tsp
  • Corn flour - 1 tbsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt - as needed
To fry in pan:
  • Onion - 1 (Chopped)
  • Coriander Leaves - few
  • Curry Leaves - few
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
Method:
  • Soak the soya chunks in a bowl and fill it up with enough hot water until soya chunks immersed completely. Then, leep aside for 10 to 15 mins.
  • After soaking in water soya chunks will be double in size . Then squeeze all the water from soya chunks and keep aside.
  • In a bowl add all the above ingredients and mix it well . 
  • After that add the squeezed soya chunks in that bowl and mix it well and leave it for 1 hr.
  • Heat oil in pan , add onion , curry leaves ,coriander leaves and saute it for 5min.
  • Add the mixed soya chunks in a pan and saute it for 15min until crispy.
  • Serve the crispy soya chunks with tomato sauce.
