Basmathi Rice Pal Paayasam

BASMATHI RICE - PAL PAYASAM


                Basmathi rice pal paayasam is a classic desert made with rice,milk and sugar. It will be creamy and delicious payasam. Paayasam will be prepared for each and every occasion to celebrate happily  Easy to prepare with stepwise pictures. Every one can try will full confidence will come out well. Try it and serve for your loved ones.

Serves - 3

Ingredients:
  • Milk - 4 cups
  • Basmathi Rice - 1/4 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 1 tsp
  • Saffron - few stands (soak it in 1 tsbp of hot milk(ref above img)
  • Cardamom Powder - 1 pinch
  • Badam- 8-10 no's(chopped to garnish)

Method
  • Heat a tsp of ghee and fry the basmathi rice for 2-3 mins. Do not fry until it turns brown in color.
  • Then grind it with the mixer for one second.(Note : have to break the rice should not make powdered coarsely).
  • Take a pressure cooker, Add a tsp of ghee , boiled milk and ground rice. close the pressure cooker and keep it in low flame. when the steam starts coming put the whistle and leave it to whistle for 1 or 2 not more than that. Open the pressure cooker keep in a low flame to make the milk thicken. 
  • Now add sugar, mix it well and boil for few seconds, Then add Saffron(soaked in milk), Cardamom powder and chopped badam . Switch off the flame.
  • Serve, it hot or cold.
